Frequently asked questions
How far in advance should I book?
Please book at least one week before you arrive, or two weeks ahead in April, August and December. A booking is confirmed once the 50% payment is made.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations within 14 days of arrival (21 days in April, August and December) are charged between 10% and 50% of the booking, depending on how close to arrival you cancel. See our cancellation policy for the full details.
Do children stay free?
Children under 6 sharing their parents’ room stay free. Children aged 7 to 12 are charged 50%.
Are pets allowed?
Sorry, pets are not permitted at Bayfront.
How can I pay for extras during my stay?
In cash (Sri Lankan rupees only) or by Visa, Mastercard or American Express. Traveller’s cheques are not accepted.
Can I learn to surf in Weligama?
Yes. Weligama’s main beach break is one of the friendliest in Sri Lanka for beginners, and there are surf schools a short walk away. Our team can arrange lessons.
When is whale watching season?
Between December and April, from Mirissa harbour, a short trip from the hotel. Sightings are very likely in season, but never guaranteed.
